Mike Whitaker

Michael Whitaker has been in finance since 2000 specializing in commercial real estate lending, business finance, SBA lending and equipment financing. He has personally originated and closed over $450 million in commercial loans and has underwritten or overseen over $1.3 billion since that date. Michael also has experience in renewable energy development projects (wind and solar) and has invested in over 47 start-ups (in technology and medical predominantly). He’s been core in the development of wind farms in the Dominican Republic and Kazakhstan as well.
Graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a BS in Finance.
Jeff Cheatham
President of Lending / Managing Partner
With over 20 years of experience, primarily in Corporate Banking including Banc of America Securities, JPMorgan Chase, and regional banks, and coupled working with private capital funds, hedge funds, and others to facilitate various strategic financing options for clients, Jeff Cheatham provides clients with optimal capital structures and creative financing options. He executed an assortment of corporate loans with diverse tactics for clients through his $1 billion in loan fundings.
Graduated SMU with BBA in Finance and BBA in Real Estate Finance and a member of the Dallas Running Club.
Hong Liu
President of Renewables / Managing Partner
Hong Liu has had a successful investment banking career with previous experience at Solomons Citibank and Barclays. She built a team to develop the price and risk model for Mortgage backed securities and derivatives including CDS, TRS, Swap, options etc.With her last employer, she provided the price and risk calculation services for the clients of Barclays Capital. She’s been core to developing several renewable energy plants, including one in the Dominican Republic and Kazakhstan.
She has a MS in Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Math
